Trained under guidance of guru in Indian Orthopaedics, Dr. A. K. Talwalkar, Mr. V.P Gangan has over 34 years of experience in this field. His vast experience, detailed knowledge about the field and sincerity is inspiration to our UMA FAMILY. On 16th October, 1992 Mr. Vijay Gangan was felicitated by Dr. P.S. Ramani, renowned Neurosurgeon and Head of the Department L.T.M.G. hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Ram Chaddha, renowned spine surgeon felicitated Mr. Vijay Gangan as “Person who never said no for any development” in WIROC 2001 held at Mumbai. Many such rewards are under his belt.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors of Engineering (Civil) from Walchand College of Engineering, a premier engineering institute in Maharashtra.
• Executive development program of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management from Mumbai University having completed certificate courses in:
  1. Marketing Management
  2. International Marketing Management
  3. Financial Management

Work Experience:

• 3 years in Hindustan Construction on Yamuna Hydrochloric Project, Uttar Pradesh.
• 3 years in consulting engineer with WS ATKINS Pvt.Ltd., Kolkata on various projects.
• 6 years as Manager in Instruments Orthopedic (Manufacturer of Implants & Instruments) in Mumbai.
• 13 years of partnership after foundation of Uma Surgicals along with financial partner.
• Over 10 years of proprietorship of M/s. Uma Surgicals from 1994 onwards.

Educational Qualification:

• Masters of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta (No 1 university for past 13 years in Industrial Engineering).
• Bachelors of Engineering in Production Engineering from one of the premier Institute affiliated with Mumbai University, India.

• Graduate Engineer with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Mumbai – July, 1999 to May, 2000.
• Sales Executive with Uma Surgicals – June, 2000 to June 2001.
• Utility Analyst at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta - Aug, 2001 to April, 2002.
• Logistics Analyst with Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Consumer Product Division, Atlanta – May, 2002 to Jan, 2004.
